About us

-We feed all our dogs a grain-free, primarily raw, diet. This diet consists of Steve's Real Food raw food, supplemented by Nature's Variety dry food.

-We also give all our dogs fresh fruits and vegetables, probiotics, and whole food supplements from Standard Process (Musculoskeletal Support and Whole Body Support).

-We take a holistic approach with our animals and minimize vaccines. We monitor antibody levels for rabies, distemper, and parvo with antibody titers (blood tests that measure how much antibody an organism has produced that recognizes a particular epitope).

-We breed for health, temperament, and work ability.

-Puppies will be socialized in the home with lots of human interaction because our number one goal is to have a lab which is not only a great pet, but can also be a great hunting and competition partner.

-We do early neurological stimulation (ENS) with all of our puppies. This kind of stimulation involves subjecting pups aged between 3 and 16 days to mild forms of stimulation leading to “stress,” and leads to faster maturation and better problem-solving abilities later in life. ENS resulted from a U.S. Military program called Bio Sensor, and is currently being used in some working dog programs.

-Puppies will receive wormer every two weeks starting at 3 weeks of age.

-Puppies will receive their first Distemper/Parvo vaccine at 8 weeks of age before they go to their new homes.
